SPSJHB 2017 Presentation – 10 Design Principals we can learn from game design

I would like to thank everyone who came out to my talk at SharePoint Saturday Johannesburg. I think we all had a lot of fun.

My talk was about 10 design principals we (as Office 365 solution designers) can learn from game design. It was inspired by a talk that Mark Rosewater gave at GDC a number of years ago, and explores Dieter Ram’s 10 principals of design. I use Magic: the Gathering as an example of the implementation of these principals and then apply them (as best I can) to Office 365.

As always, I think my slide-deck is less useful without the talk that accompanies it but I got a few requests to make it available, so here it is: SPSJHB 2017 PRESENTATION
